Passwordless Login

Evo now supports Passwordless Login, giving users a faster and more secure way to access the Evo Portal and Single Sign-On (SSO) applications. Instead of entering a username and password, users simply scan a QR code with the Evo mobile app and confirm their identity using their phone’s built-in biometrics (such as Face ID or fingerprint recognition).

By default, Passwordless authentication is disabled. To enable it, you’ll need to activate the corresponding policy, which will be explained in detail throughout this article. When signing into your Portal/SSO you will be met with a sign in page that asks for your Email address.

After entering your email address, a QR code and step-by-step instructions will be displayed on the screen.

If preferred, you can also choose to sign in with your password from this screen as an alternative authentication method.

Next, open the Evo Mobile App on your device. Tap the camera icon in the top-right corner to activate the scanner, then use it to scan the QR code displayed on your login screen.

After scanning the QR code, your user information will be displayed for review. Confirm the details, then press and hold the green “Hold to Approve” button to complete the Passwordless login process.

You have now successfully signed in using Passwordless Login.

To enable Passwordless Login for your environment:

From this screen, you can specify which tenants Passwordless Login should be enabled as well as configure which authentication options (Portal, SAML) you would like to turn on.

Hit Save and Passwordless logins will now be Enabled!
