What type of Directory do I need?
Overview of Directories
Summary
Evo can be setup on a number of different client environments.
If you don't know where to start, here are scenarios that can be applied:
On-Premise (LDAP)
If you are running an Active Directory server (Physical or Virtual) that users get their Domain Credentials and authentication from, you'll need to set up an On-Premise directory
Azure AD / Entra ID
If you manage your clients permissions and authentications via Microsoft Azure/Entra then you'll need to set up an Azure AD/Entra ID directory type
Google Workspace
If your clients are set up and managed via Google (Gmail, Drive) then you'll need to set up a Google Workspace Directory
Standalone Environment (Workgroup)
If your clients are on standalone machines or are on machines that are not connected to a domain, you can set up an Evo Cloud directory.
